Delivery & Payment Information
Launching in January 2017 we will be offering our soughdough & artisan breads for delivery to the village & surrounding area, or collection if you live further afield. Initially we are planning one baking day a week, with loaves coming out of the oven late Friday nights & delivery / collection to take place on Saturday mornings. We are planning to extend to a second baking day as soon as demand requires.
We will initially be offering delivery to residential addresses in Hempnall, Hempnall Green, Lundy Green, Silver Green, Fritton, Hardwick & Topcroft. When you register as a new customer on the website we will send you an e-mail confirming whether you are within our current delivery area.
We expect to be able to make all deliveries between 8am & 10am on Saturday mornings. If you are early risers & would like your bread early or late risers who would like it later please let us know & we will do our best to accommodate your choices.
If you live very nearby but not quite within these areas please get in touch as we will decide if we can manage delivery to you on a case by case basis depending on how close our current delivery route takes us to your address & our current workload.
We are hoping to promptly expand to a second weekly delivery taking in villages that are further afield, probably baking Monday evenings to deliver Tuesday mornings. We are considering offering this delivery to customers in Saxlingham Nethergate, Tasburgh, & Long Stratton so if you are in one of these areas & would like a regular weekly bread delivery please let us know.
If we are unable to deliver to your address (or if you would just prefer it!) you are very welcome to pick up your order from Ford End any time between 8am & 12noon on a Saturday morning. You can choose 'collection' as a delivery option when you check out.
Placing an Order
You can place an order with us in two ways - either through this website or over the phone. If you are ordering online and you want a recurring order of the same loaves every week, just let us know in the notes box when you checkout or give us a call.
When you place an order before midnight on Thursday your bread will be delivered or available for collection that Saturday morning.
You can pay for your order through the website using Paypal if your value is over £10, even if you do not have a Paypal account.
If you are placing a regular, weekly order, we are currently unable to process your recurring payments online but our web-monkey is working hard on it as we speak. In the time it takes us to fix this, you may pay us cash on delivery/collection for each order.
Alternatively you can pay for your bread in cash on delivery/collection. Unfortunately we are not able to take payments by cheque.
We are very keen to forge relationships with other local food businesses & will be contacting local restaurants, farm shops & delicatessens over the coming weeks to offer sample packs of bread. If you run a business & would be interested in a regular order of bread please get in touch. We would be prepared to offer delivery to a greater distance if you wanted to place a large regular order.
